Tim Weaver was a public school teacher back in 1989 when he first heard about
how Gospel Films was placing the Word of God into the classroom through
its free film loaning program. He became a user of these films and also
a donor to this ministry. The Weavers have supported many different areas of
Gospel Communications since then, but the high school program, now called
Tough Topics, still holds a special place in their hearts. Tim said, “Tough
Topics for middle and high school students continues to penetrate the
public school sector through character education curriculum. That
is very important to us. We are also excited about increasing the
effectiveness of Tough Topics through GCI’s strategy to
reach this generation with culturally relevant media.”
No longer a school teacher, Tim now owns a successful home painting
business in Raleigh, North Carolina. He and Carole Ann
remain loyal supporters of Gospel Communications,
because, “GCI continues to be one of the best
investments to produce the greatest spiritual return
for each dollar sown. GCI’s recognition to change the
medium without changing the message allows it to be
a cutting-edge leader when competing for the attention of
its potential ministry prospects, participants
and donors.”
